Our Home and Community
|
Our home in Charlotte is warm and comfortable and we share it with our two labs, Bailey and Dixie.
We have a large fenced-in back yard and look forward to having family football games and planting
in the garden with our child. Mint Hill is a very child-oriented city and we look forward to taking
our child to children’s activities at the art museums, to play at the parks, to visit the science museum,
and to see plays at the Children’s Theatre. Our church family is also looking forward to welcoming a
new member.

Our Family Time
|
We share a love of travel and the outdoors and look forward to hiking with our child through national
parks and building sand castles at the beach. We also love to read and look forward to reading together
as a family each night before bed. We are active in our church where Randi volunteers in a variety of ways
and Clay helps with the media. We also enjoy doing home improvement projects and Clay is looking
forward to having an ‘assistant’ to help him! Randi enjoys arts and crafts and is looking forward to
helping our child make homemade gifts for our families. We also like running, working in the yard, going
to Panthers games, hanging out with friends, and watching movies.

Our Families
We are close to our families and enjoy visiting them. In the summer, we travel to New York to see Randi’s
mom, grandpa, and brother and Clay’s parents and brother. Randi’s mom has already made a few quilts for
our child and is working on a Christmas stocking. Clay’s family enjoys spending summers on the St. Lawrence
River and looks forward to teaching our child how to swim and drive a boat. Randi’s dad is excited to take
the newest member of the family on hiking trips when we visit him in Colorado. Clay’s brother and his wife
look forward to taking our child to the beach when we visit them in Florida. Our families also visit us on
a regular basis and are excited about our adoption.

Our Careers
|
Clay has enjoyed working in the IT industry for the last eight years. He looks forward to
taking long lunches with our child at school. Randi has worked as a pediatric speech therapist for the past
11 years and finds helping children learn to talk and eat very rewarding. She is currently self-employed,
which will allow her to take time off after our child arrives and to then go back to work just a few hours a
week. She is excited to be there to get our child off the bus each day.
